Hey. Stop telling me you don’t have time for breakfast. And stop telling me that you do better without breakfast or that there’s nothing you really like that would be considered “breakfast food.” Here’s a healthy breakfast that takes one minute to make and provides two fruit servings plus a little dairy stuff. Ingredients – everything in the picture above. Blender, 8 ounces of orange (or pineapple, grapefruit, whatever) juice, a banana (or other fruit you like that adds up in volume to enough to make one serving), a cup of any flavor yogurt. This recipe works especially well for those of you trying to eat that really thick, gross Greek yogurt.
Dump juice in blender
- Add broken pieces of banana or other fruit
- Dump in yogurt
- Optional steps: ice to make it a frozen smoothie
- Cocoanut rum, vodka, whatever alcohol you might like, unless you’re about to drive to work or anywhere else.
- Want it a little creamier? Add some half/half and top with whipped cream.
Now press the button that says “whip the hell out of the bastard.” Mine has one.
It’ll make about 18 ounces without the alcohol or ice. It’s fast, cheap, easy, and brilliant. So stop crying about breakfast.
