Because it’s what dads do…

Okay, it’s like this.  My kid is trying to win tickets to a concert of this year’s “boy band.”  Keep in mind she’s 14, so what does she know?  Not much, of course.

Anyway, whoever gets the most other people to click on this link -

http://www.q102.com/common/shareme/index.php?linkid=fyd8mygrpm34rrmawu4eth8jvn

Will win tickets to the show.  Therefore, if you really have nothing else to do, then click on this link above and let my kid have some false hope that she’ll actually have the most clicks to win.

Just don’t tell her that I already got tickets for her to go to the show.  Regardless, she would love it to get more clicks because she doesn’t know I already have the tickets.

The question was asked, and YES – i will suffer through going to the show with her.
and – to help even further –  you can go back and click again as long as it’s at least 15 minutes apart.

Thanks again.

Rich.

Oh Lord, I’m so happy i’m not a dad. I like the duplicitous game though. At least the free-ticket extravaganza will keep your little lady occupied, if not furious when she finds out she’s got a lock. I clicked, but i’d rather send you daughter to a Cold Play concert. I can see the yawns from here.

  9. Serious Dad point here, my friend. She now has 60 clicks. Good job! :-D Waiting for the wail of misery over not winning before you give her the tickets?

Makes me miss my daddy. I’m sure that, if he were still alive, that even at 27 he would buy me tickets. Dads are awesome like that. :)

Aw you’re a good dad, I wish my dad had helped me out when I tried to get New Kids On the Block to play at my high school! :)

i remember when the back street boys were popular, and they sang the national anthem for the NHL hockey all-star game. they got booed, which isn’t a surprise, but it’s a shame that the NHL did not know it’s audience enough to know that its fans would not be into the back street boys.

  13. Clicked … because it’s what mom’s would do too. I hope she gets them!

  21. Unfortunately, this IP (68.46.131.62) has been used within the last 15 minutes. The click has not been counted.

I tried only once but :( it wouldn’t let me vote even once.
good luck – hope everyone has a wonderful time !

  22. I clicked but am now in terror of what’s to come with teenage-hood. Right now I’m only faced with pleas for tickets to the Legend of Zelda symphony.

good job Dad! Many years ago, I took my daughter and a friend ( 15 ) to an EMO concert — if I wasn’t there they would have ended up in the mosh pit. Thank goodness for balconies. But we had fun!

    thanks for the like!
