last night

Lying on your bed last night

Your feet tangled with mine

My knees tucked behind yours

Your back nestled against my chest

Close enough to feel your heartbeat

My arms holding you tight

Your hands in mine,

A kiss on your cheek

How could you possibly ask

if I was asleep?

  2. :) you see, that’s why I love poetry… it’s a dream expressed in a few words…

my goal with poetry is this: to say as much as possible using as few words as possible – but saying it in a unique way that isn’t just a sentence. thanks.

      • exactly… it can be anything, just key words, a description, a scream…. for me Poetry and Feeling are synonyms… :)

I like this one best of all. Intimate and concise.

    • rich says:

thank you sir. sometimes very curious as to how random people find random things that i post.

      • robpacker says:

Ha, totally, I have no idea how those random people end up at my random posts either. This one’s pretty easy though: Literaryman liked something of mine; I liked something of theirs and then checked out the other likers.
