no night is as dark
no cry is as sharp
no cut bleeds as long
no crime is as wrong
as the silence that falls
when you do not call
no night is as dark
no cry is as sharp
no cut bleeds as long
no crime is as wrong
as the silence that falls
when you do not call
You know I have a poetry gig?
http://www.takeittothestreetpoetry.com
your words are welcome there anytime.. I have a volume coming out end of the month.
just saying
Will check it out.
very nice poem
thanks miss
Oh yes !!!! Nothing hurts more than the silence and distance of our loved one…
same “loved one” who was loved by another in “precious”
This is bliss:)
what a lovely poem 🙂
and a lovely comment from a lovely person.
I can so relate to this little poem. With just a small amount of words you convey how easily a heart can break when you don’t hear from someone that you love….
You must really like her:)
did. about 10 years ago.
Silence can be so much louder than sound.
you can hurt someone more by ignoring them than by calling them names.
It’s way more powerful. Easier to learn as well. I’m terrible at calling people names. 🙂
Such a beautiful poem!
thank you very much. how’d you find it?
Love this…and that is very, very rare when it comes to blog poetry.
If that is rare, then I will feel special, and indebted to you.
reading one of your stories right now…
This is wonderful, simply adored it. Short and deep. Would love to see you writing more poetry, cheers
i usually only write poetry when inspired, and usually that means inspired by a woman.
ah, yes! the muse of love. i believe all writers need a little inspiration
and dancers?
well, yes, them too… of course! i didn’t intend to leave any one out 😉
wasn’t suggesting that you would. but i saw dancers on your blog and thought i’d mention them.
yep. ouch.
And the worst silence of all is one that you’ve absolutely demanded and they’ve taken you at your word!
we don’t all pick up on hints as well as others. 😉
True.Especially hard when the hinting: You’re absolutely not to not phone me ever again.
i know i’m dumb, but i think i would still understand that one.
this was very lovely..and deep
thanks very much. thanks for reading.
You could have written that for my life…I really relate to it. lovely poem Ceri
unfortunately, it is a part of my life. sometimes you take some unhappy moments and make something positive out of it, like a poem. thanks for reading and “feeling.”
It touched me ..your blog is lovely.
lovely? that’s a word i don’t hear often. but i bet you hear it. thanks very much. it’s nice to hear that.
Has this one been here all along?
yes, but i’m removing the poetry.
